I came to flowers from literary fiction and publishing. After years of running a magazine, I was ready for a creative change, and something about flowers as a design medium just clicked. I didn't know much about them at the time — I just jumped in and figured it out along the way. That was over eight years ago, first in New York City, now across New England.

I care a lot about shape, color, and texture — how everything sits together and feels as a whole. When I'm not working with flowers, I'm on adventures with my two little kids or driving around town in my '87 Volvo station wagon, which is still in fantastic shape.
